I have now been twice to the new West Shore Trail Extension of Onondaga Lake Park. Wow, is it beautiful! 2.5 miles of smoothly paved blacktop with wooded areas, lake view areas and clean-up areas. I find them all interesting. I actually thought I was on vacation when I was running for a few minutes. Who knew Onondaga Lake could look so good.
There are several places to get off the trail, put your bike in a rack and take in the sites.
I don't think too many people are visiting yet, but I am sure that will change.
This part of the park is accessible from the NYS Fairgrounds and therefore could possibility to be incorporated into the Run/Walk!
