I Was Born for This.

I can't wait to bring our community together with this event.

I have held so many jobs throughout my life.  My resume starts basic and simple.  I was a farm hand on my grandpa's dairy farm.  I pursued a job as a pharmacy tech, to get out of farm work, and finally got one.  I was a waitress for one summer at The Atheneum Hotel at the Chautauqua Institute.  Research assistant came next.  Then I worked in a library.  For a short time I worked for People Inc..
After I graduated college I could not find a job in my field, so I went into retail.  I was a waitress at a biker diner (they made out of a trailer) called "Barbara's Diner."  That didn't work out.   So I hopped in my truck and became a waitress at The Hidden Crystal Inn and Conference Center.  I was later picked up by the Alexander County Soil & Water Conservation District and continued to waitresses on the side.
I worked as a senior cartographic digital editor on master plans.  I worked again for Soil &Water this time for Erie County.  Onondaga County Soil & Water ( OCSW) was my next move.  I worked with the NYS Envirothon while at OCSW.  Then, one day I was talking with my intern, and the next thing you know I was a Geologist with a local environmental consulting firm for 5+ years.

Now I am a nurse.  I am so fortunate.  I love working with people who welcome my smile and ability to make people feel comfortable and welcome.  I enjoy bringing people together and helping them make the most of situations.

I also love running.  I do some of my best thinking while I run.  I have participated in many 5k racing events.  I love it when someone else running past me says, "You can do it, keep going!"

I can't wait to bring our community and my passions together with this event.
